On March 26, Hainan International Design Week and Hainan International Cultural and Creative Week were successfully held in Sanya. The theme forum of 2023 Hainan International Design Week is guided by the Publicity Department of Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, sponsored by China Industrial Design Association and Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, jointly organized by Hainan International Design Week Co., LTD and other units, and co-organized by Beijing Industrial Design Promotion Association. With the theme of "Towards 2030· New Discoveries in Design", the conference focused on the future direction of the design field and jointly discussed how to move towards a greener, smarter and more innovative 2030.
The forum invited industry experts in planning and architecture, intelligent technology, innovative design, consumer culture, automotive design and other fields to carry out intellectual exchanges and share cutting-edge ideas and forward-looking trends. China Industrial Design Association Automotive Industry Branch, together with China FAW Research and Development Institute, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, GAC Research Institute and other industry experts attended the event.
In his speech, President Liu Ning said that Hainan Free Trade Port is a major measure for China to build a new pattern of comprehensive opening up and create new growth drivers with high quality, and is an important meeting point for domestic and international double circulation. The Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port clearly proposes to "build Hainan international Design Island" and expand the opening up of professional services. In February 2021, under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the provincial government of Hainan Province, the China Industrial Design Association and the Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the development of Hainan's design industry and create an important highland for gathering and allocating global innovation resources.
Standing at a new historical starting point, Hainan design is in the ascendant and the future can be expected. We will work together to cultivate high-level, high-density and international innovation achievements from Hainan to the world, and build Hainan International Design Island with industrial linkage, brand agglomeration, distinctive characteristics and high international recognition and influence, so that "design" will become a beautiful business card of Hainan Free Trade Port.
