Product design creates a perception and carries a strong cultural value in contemporary communication tools. In addition to serving as a physical link between the product and the user, design should also be a link of meaning. Designing great products is the process of connecting, connecting with people's needs, connecting with people's desires, connecting with their culture and the world they live in, and sometimes, helping people connect between their emotions and their selves. This is often seen as the domain of branding, but it is also where design can be effective.
