In recent years, Chinese design has developed rapidly and plays an important role in the field of industrial manufacturing.
In China, the early industrial appearance design focuses on the design of products in structure, function, color, packaging, brand and so on. With the rapid development of China's Internet technology, more and more technology, intelligent, information-based design products continue to emerge, as large as laser TV physical appliances, small to the mobile phone screen on the graphical interface, Chinese design through the export of specialization to the international, led to the innovative development of China's industrial manufacturing industry.

In the past 10 years, China has built 298 national industrial design centers and 3,515 provincial industrial design centers, and more than 10,000 industrial design enterprises nationwide. The design of a number of major equipment and products has reached or approached the international advanced level; industrial design in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Rim and Chengdu-Chongqing Economic zones has achieved rapid development; and the construction of a large number of industrial design parks has accelerated.
